2017 Scottish Sprint Championships Lossiemouth
Moravian Orienteers are delighted to welcome you to Lossiemouth for the Scottish Sprint Championships on Sunday 19 February 2017. This event is also one of the UK Urban League (UKUL) races (see http://www.oxfordfusion.com/ukul/ for further information).
The Scottish Sprint Championships (and the UKUL for this event) is made up of 2 races in Lossiemouth and competitor times are combined for the final result. The courses are a mixture of urban and cross-county.
Registration 10:30 - 14:30
Race 1 Starts 11:00 - 12:00
Race 1 courses close 12:45
Race 2 starts 13:00 - 14:30
Race 2 courses close 15:00

Registration and assembly are in the Lossie FC Social club. Toilets and refreshments will be on offer and there are shops and cafes a short distance away.
Start times will be pre-allocated. The punch type is Emit.
There are 6 courses for each race, between 1.7 to 3.2 km. The expected winning times for each race are 12-15 minutes.
There is one entry on Oentries, and this includes both races.
Those wishing to compete in the Scottish Sprint Championships and/or the UKUL must pre-enter on Oentries. There will be no entry on the day for those who wish to compete in the Scottish Sprint Champoinships and UKUL.
Please enter your Urban Class Category and, assuming you are eligible as a Scottish competitor, you will automatically be entered in your relevant Scottish Sprint Class.

Scottish Sprint ‘Running-Up’
For the Scottish Sprint, any adult ‘running-up’ a course will be allocated to the oldest age group on that course. For example, females running Course 1 will be allocated to their relevant age class or ‘35’ if they are older.
Under 16 juniors (on 19 Feb 17) should not ‘run-up’, due to appropriate safety constraints in Urban Orienteering Guidelines. 16 year olds may run-up and would be allocated to 18 class. All M/W12s and below should enter ’12-‘.

Open (O) = Allcomers over 16
Vet (V) = 40+
Super Vet (SV) = 55+
Ultra Vet (UV) = 65+
Hyper Vet (HV) = 75+ (New class for 2017)

Junior BOF members £6
Juniors non BOF members £8
Full time students (BOF members) £8
£1 EMIT hire
Under 12s should be accompanied to the start of the courses. Under 12s do not need to be accompanied on the courses.
