Regional Event at Wykeham Forest near Scarborough on the area last used for day 1 of White Rose 2006. The terrain provides an excellent test of technical skill on a slope of mixed forest with some interesting contour detail. Generally very runnable. In accordance with the revised British Orienteering competition structure competitors should enter the colour coded course of their choice. Recommended courses for age categories are as follows: BLACK – M21; BROWN – M35, M40; SHORT BROWN – M20, M18, M45, M50, W21, M21S;

BLUE – M16, M55, M60, W35, W40, M35S, M40S; SHORT BLUE – M65, W20, W18, W45, W50, M45S, M50S, W21S; GREEN – M70, W16, W55, W60, M55S, M60S, W35S, W40S; SHORT GREEN – M75, M80, W65, W70, W75, W80, M65S, M70S, W45S, W50S, W55S, W60S; LIGHT GREEN – M14, W14; ORANGE – M12, W12; YELLOW – M10, W10. All competitors will be competitive on all courses so you are not obliged to enter the course recommended for your age class. Distances are still to be determined but will be in accordance with the distance matrix published in the revised event guideline B which can be viewed on the British Orienteering website.
There will also be a Long Orange course suitable for senior novices and a White Course suitable for junior novices available for entry on the day only, at a reduced entry fee.
